par-tay.
I think its safe to say that the Shark Party was a success.

Pres with his Shark cake that sis in law Kristin graciously made. It was not only awesome looking, but delicious as well!

This shot makes us laugh every time because the shark is looking right at you. Yeah - we're weird. And yes, he's swinging a golf club. (Thanks Bradens!)

Kidlets, pizza and cake. That pretty much sums it up.
(All the boys are on the other side of the table. Apparently PG likes the ladies).

Then PG got a shark costume. I laughed till I cried.

Ells was there too.

The cake was won.
Seriously - thanks for all the help. PG had a great day. Who knew turning 3 was so exhausting?

soccer.
We found a program that introduces tiny tots to the sport we all know and love - soccer. Mainly its instructional, as 3-4 year olds are too small for any sort of competition. Many of you know - D and I could care less about sports in general (tell that to the parents who decked their kids out in cleats and shin guards AND who were on the sidelines yelling and screaming.....at 3 year olds. Heaven help me), but I thought it would be fun to get the family out a few times a week in the beautiful weather and exhaust PG before bed. Needless to say, he is not the next Pele, but he enjoys it.

As you can see from this video, PG is that kid - the one spinning around at the opposite end of the field yelling "Soccer Monster" (a favorite Backyardigans episode). And just yesterday, while his coaches were having the kids play an actual game, he ran around pretending to shoot lasers from his arm in a Buzz Lightyear fashion......

PS. In his defense, he is the youngest and shrimpiest one on his team. But I'm not holding my breath on his improvement next year.
PPS - If you listen carefully, PG yells "Soccer!" when he kicks the ball. I hope that never stops......

invites.
Perks of being an oldest child? You get custom handmade party invites for your 3rd birthday. Probably not going to be doing that again. Ever.

As you can see - PG decided on a Shark Party. I have to say the pics don't really do them justice. They were rad to the max (and not at all crooked, but I'm too tired to crop them properly in Photoshop).

so behind.
I know I know - I'm so behind in the blogging world. That is how crazy things been the past 2 weeks. Glorious posts will be coming as soon as I survive this weekend.

lessons learned.
- Breathe Right Strips = worse snorring for my spouse which = even less sleep for me which = I hate Breathe Right Strips.
- "No internet and no tv makes Sarah a dull girl".....week #2.
- Sometimes you're just too tired to do laundry, resulting in children wearing old haggard "back up clothes" or no clothes at all. Definitely some white trash goin' on at our place.
- Apparently we can no longer rent movies because we never watch them. We just say "Um, too tired, let's just watch it tomorrow night" every night for about a week until we return it, unwatched. Thus we enter the "pathetic" phase of our marriage. Siiiiiggggghhhhhhh.
- Week of crazy has subsided. All commitments were met, and we came out alive. With the help of many, many people. Thanks to everyone.
- And now I am at my in laws where there is cable AND internet......and fruit loops......PEACE.

this is how my day started.....
"What is this?", you ask. Its cupcake batter for a baby shower I'm hosting TOMORROW, and some bubbles from our cupboard landed in it. Oh, and I went to bed at 2am, got up at 6:30am with the teething hooligan in the bassinet next to me. Its been downhill since.....
But then I saw this. And it somehow made everything ok.
