soccer.

We found a program that introduces tiny tots to the sport we all know and love - soccer. Mainly its instructional, as 3-4 year olds are too small for any sort of competition. Many of you know - D and I could care less about sports in general (tell that to the parents who decked their kids out in cleats and shin guards AND who were on the sidelines yelling and screaming.....at 3 year olds. Heaven help me), but I thought it would be fun to get the family out a few times a week in the beautiful weather and exhaust PG before bed. Needless to say, he is not the next Pele, but he enjoys it.

As you can see from this video, PG is that kid - the one spinning around at the opposite end of the field yelling "Soccer Monster" (a favorite Backyardigans episode). And just yesterday, while his coaches were having the kids play an actual game, he ran around pretending to shoot lasers from his arm in a Buzz Lightyear fashion......

PS. In his defense, he is the youngest and shrimpiest one on his team. But I'm not holding my breath on his improvement next year.

PPS - If you listen carefully, PG yells "Soccer!" when he kicks the ball. I hope that never stops......

Super cute. I love that he is "that" kid. He was so cute last night when he told me he was a soccer monster.

Love it! Lanni did Soccer Tots with Max, and she told me it is just hysteria. I hope that he is always the kid looking for bugs in the grass because, let's face it, that kid is going to know a lot about bugs if he ever has a bug class in college.
