We celebrated our victory by trying on infant clothes that were way too small.
And then napping.

Preston's Home! Huzzahs all around.
Preston was officially discharged from the hospital today. It's been wonderful (and a bit strange) to hold him without having to worry about all the tubing and IVs. We have a plethora of check ups coming in the next month - and a grumpy 11 lb infant (as is the territory with surgery recovering) but we have never been more thrilled.

What an unbeleivable step. Home from cardiac surgery a week ago. He truly is amazing. The sad part is they don't send a nurse home with you to take care of him whilst you sleep...and still no morphine.
Congrats, now you get to be the mom and dad you thought you'd get to be!

What a fun picture...love the smile. So very glad he is ok and home with you. Michelle has been forwarding your emails to her sisters and me. Preston and Annabelle are going to have such fun playing together as they grow.

i certainly can't echo the statement 'We're so glad he's finally an Oremite'. (and that snarky grin PG is sporting on that first picture suggests he would probably agree with me.) i am, however, glad he's home and happy and healthy(ish). and despite what you guys might think, based on your godfather selection alone, i've got a nagging suspicion that you just might be the best parents ever.

That picture of Sarah and P passed out together is so great, yet terrifying to me as well. Make sure you take care of yoruself (IE sleep) so you can take care of the P to the G meister! : )
