lessons learned.

• I've recently started watching Friday Night Lights. Dear Texas and your football - you're a little crazy (no offense Jones.) And I know this because TV never lies.....
• Found a kitchen knife.....in the couch......seriously. This is my life.
• SNOWY day today. Spent playing Puzzle Fighter with PG. Sorry little buddy, you never stood a chance....
• PG had a convo with a picture of Perry Como centered above our table at lunch. I really wish I knew what Perry had to say.
• Seriously there are like 3 couches in our living room. Someone stop the madness and buy our old one! Don't fail me now Craigslist.
• Wait. The dishes need to be done again? I just did them like 2 days ago.

easter.

Dave went home from church puking, and we spent most of the day watching Ducktales. Fully appropriate right?

Also, PG thinks the Easter Bunny is our neighbor's pet rabbit that was running loose a few months ago. I can't bring myself to say "The Easter Bunny is a giant rabbit that brings you a basket of goodies...." Have you heard yourself explaining this to your children?

My flat iron went MIA last week. These locks don't happen on their own. Without any assistance my hair is like unto a lion's mane. Or this....

As a replacement, I decided to get a Chi (I've heard good things), but hadn't had a chance to buy/order one. So for the past few days I've been Chi-less, and looking very much like the image above.

But no more. Father in law Geergie, is apparently a genie and with magical mind reading powers, cause he got me this bad boy. Crisis averted. Me, and everyone who sees my hair thanks you.

lessons learned.

• Dear sweet lady in front of me at the grocery store. Sweat bands are not headbands. Judging from your poodle sweater, you did not come from, nor are you intending to go to some sort of work out.
• Moving. It sucks. Especially when its not me. Godspeed Spurlocks. Godspeed.
• "I feel like I'm taking crazy pills". Literally. I may be the only sane person left. What is wrong with people?
• Saw a mom at the park doing gymnastics moves on the monkey bars. Really?
• In spite of our obviously different life paths, I can't help but think Liz Lemon and I might be the same person.
• Choosing pre-schools for PG (he's in one now, but I called it "pretend preschool". Next year is the real deal). Definitely not qualified to start making these decisions. Who put me in charge? When did that happen?

concert weekend.

I'm going a bit out of order of events from week's past....

Anywho. Here goes - TSO had its inaugural concert this weekend (Fri. and Sat). It went great. Huge crowd, great energy. Even the spouse who seriously has no interest in classical music, totally dug it. There's just something about hearing music live I think. And definitely something about being part of such a group....

Naturally I was more concerned about my hair's performance than anything else.

Thanks to ALL who have helped babysit and support my endeavor. Pretty sure I get more out of TSO than I contribute. Glad to have this opportunity.

holy hannah.

Its been forever. Why? Family reunion. More on that to come. We got home today, and tomorrow is dress rehearsal for TSO's first concert. Will it ever end? Probably not.
