- Twin Falls, ID is more than just the Garden of Eden Gas station.
- Once in a blue moon we eat at Outback Steakhouse. Every time I have to ask myself, why?
- I'm still not a fan of No Doubt. I don't think it will ever happen. Sorry Gwen.
- If there's a crazy lady in the lobby of your hotel that says diapers are on clearance at Target, it just might be worth your while to check it out.
- Finally saw Star Trek. Ah.
- I've decided that "dancing PG" is my favorite version. Of course, "sleeping PG" is up there. If we could combine the two, we'd be on to something.
- Ground Control to Major Tom came on the radio. D asked me "who even sings this?". I hope Bowie haunts your dreams with mascara and British teeth.

dreams can come true.
Mega Shark, Giant Octopus, Debbie Gibson, straight to DVD. Can the world ask for more? I can't believe I forgot to blog about this on its release date (5-19). I've failed you all.

lessons learned.
- Someone has figured out how to open doors. Naturally, we purchased those annoying door knob covers to remedy the situation. In the middle of the night, I went out to the hall and noticed a bunch of glowing orbs......the door knob covers. Creep-tastic to the max.
- Taco Bell has got to be one of the worst ideas D has had in awhile.
- I was asked the following the other day, "If you had planned a trip to Mexico, would you still take your child?" (In reference to the recent Swine Flu pandemonium). Without hesitation I replied "Yep". Which has horrified everyone else I've asked....including my husband. My retort, "that's how bad I need a freaking vacation"....
- There's been talk recently of a high school reunion next year, which I feel regular about. Did I enjoy high school? Yep. Do I keep in contact with those that I want to? Yep. Would I do it all again? Hell no. Will it be a gathering of people I don't keep in contact with? Most likely. So why do I feel compelled to go?......What an odd tradition.
- There was a kid at the playground with a rat tail. His name was Vincent.
- There's really no better feeling than finding mushed melted M&M smudges all over your iphone. No...better...feeling...
being productive.
Yesterday was one the most productive days I've had in a long time. I knew I wouldn't have access to a car, so I made a panic stricken list of things to do while stranded. And I did them. What a sense of accomplishment.
This morning I woke up and thought, Yes, my car is back, but that doesn't mean I can't have another productive day of laundry and cleaning. I'll just continue on with my list making and task accomplishing.
Then I decided we needed some Jamba Juices and park time. PEACE.

playgrounds are not for grown ups
When you have a kid that hates the indoors and being in strollers and being in the car, you spend a lot of time catering to his craziness. (Mainly its to preserve your own sanity). My solution is parks. Which was fine for a bit, until PG got adventurous. His favorite is the tallest slides possible. Of course I follow him up, because the stairs are terrifyingly huge and steep. Every time I'm up there, I get a little queasy. Slides are not for us Lucille 2 types.

lessons learned.
- At the library....the LIBRARY, a mulleted/handle bar mustached/too loud to be in the library hooligan walked in with what I can only assume was his offspring (poor girl), sporting a shirt that had a spin off of the Mountain Dew logo. It read "Mount and Do Me". Sir, I have no option but to judge you.
- There's nothing like brushing DIRT out of your child's mouth before bedtime.
- There's also nothing like watching your child throw dirt on, push, and yell "NO!" to the other kids on the playground. I wish I had your confidence PG - especially since you're so shrimpy. What the H is going on?
- I live in Babyland USA, and you're telling me there's not ONE decent jogging stroller on Craigslist?
- I had a dream that I was a "Mutant" with some sort of awesome power (you know, X-Men style). It was revealed to me, that I was given said power for a mission: to persuade Michelangelo from TMNT to use his powers for good instead of evil (apparently he had turned). I'm pretty sure I was successful.
- D has been working on a freelance gig at the client's office, rather than at home, for the past week. I'm so bored. How did we function before he worked at home?
movies.
D and I miss the luxury of having a night at the movies whenever we please. Monday we seriously considered how well the kid would fair if we took him to see Star Trek. Ultimately we decided against it. Oh how I wish my toddler liked movies (or tv for that matter), and would sit quietly as to not disturb us or other patrons. I guess while I'm at it I should wish for a pot o' gold and my head on Charlize Theron's body......
Apparently some people don't agree. On our anniversary D and I were lucky enough to escape to a flick sans kid.....but don't worry, someone else brought theirs. 2 pre-k aged kids delighted us with screaming, running around, and throwing food the entire time in our tiny theater. And their guardians did.....nothing. In fact, they talked at normal volume too. I was extremely tempted to say "there's a reason you shouldn't bring children to movies", but I'm trying to work on my "stranger anger" issues.
