As of late - PG has been requesting "Old MacDonald Had a Farm....." for his bedtime serenade. Oi. So, of course I let him pick what ol' Mac has on his farm. Here is a sampling of his requests along with how they "sound" (his definitions, not mine)

• Motor bike: "vroom"
  
• Daddy's Motor bike: "vroom" we can only assume this means D's Wii MarioKart motorcycle, cause that's the closest homeboy is going to get to an actual motorcycle.
  
• Grandma's house: "Beep Beep"
• Lightning McQueen: "Ka-chow"
• Mater: "Fu-un!"
• Firetruck (mine and D's, which = 2 separate verses and both go "Vroom")
• Copter (helicopter): "Swish, swish"
  
• Couch: "Sit Sit"

Looking back on all of his requests I've concluded the following:

1. Old MacDonald has a farm indeed - of pricey recreational vehicles, and no animals. Or maybe he grows some sort of illegal substance on his farm and makes a good living for himself selling it to foreign investors.
2. My favorite is "has a couch". Apparently my limiting of TV time and insisting of outside time (which is seriously the majority of our day now that the weather is nice - its exhausting) isn't as fun as sitting on the couch and watching Cars. Information that would have been useful yesterday.....

lessons learned.

• Unisom - I've missed you. Now that the death cold is over, I'm happy you're in my life again.
  
• I will never buy any other brand of diaper besides Huggies. Fin.
• A phrase I have to repeat to my son on a daily basis: "Get your hands out of your pants". I have a feeling I'll have to continue this for the next 18+ years.
• My spouse decided he needed to loose some weight. 11 lbs gone in 7 days. Un-freaking-believable. Of course I'm happy for him, and super resentful (as a good wife should be) seeing as though it took me all last summer to loose 5 lbs.
  
• Being sunburned never felt so good!!!
  
• There comes a time in every pregnancy when fashion gives way to comfort. And thus today, I break out the gauchos.
  

welcome to Big Lots.

I've never been, and had heard they had some good deals. So I went to check it out last week. I didn't find much - except for this treasure ahead of me in line.

This has to be one of the most noteworthy 10/90's I've seen in awhile - maybe in forever. Why? If you notice both the "10" (business in the front) and the "90" (party in the back) are very groomed and stylized. This isn't your typical run of the mill, get up and go mullet. This takes time and effort. I'm guessing some sort of product for the 10 and a curling iron and/or round brush for the 90. All in all, I can definitely say she spends more time on her hair than I do.....Thanks Big Lots, thanks.

lessons learned.

• For our Easter feast we had 2 entrees - turkey and shrimp.....turkey and shrimp. Was it good? Of course. But I don't want to talk about it.
• If you decide to paint a room - it will require approx. 100 trips to Home Depot.
  
• If you decide to paint a room - your spouse will decide he needs to do a project too. It will bleed over into a 2 week process and consume every available space on the main floor of your home. Oh, and it will also require 100 more trips to Home Depot, then Lowes, then back to Home Depot.
• Speaking of Home Depot, once a few of the letters on their exterior sign was out, so it spelled "Ho Depot". Pretty awesome.
• "Nesting" for me = buying stuff we need, but not necessarily putting it together. Needless to say Princess Awesome will have a lot of work to do if she ever wants to sleep in her crib that's currently full of baby items. Sorry lady.
• Took a hospital tour yesterday (we're delivering at a different hospital this time). I've been totally lax about baby #2, until now. That tour panicked me beyond belief. Maybe its b/c I know what to expect, not quite sure. Also - 5 weeks people, 5 weeks. You're free to panic too.
  

why do we even have that lever?

I bought 2 of the same humidifier (one for me, one for the chillin') the other day. After setting mine up, using it for the night, and having it provide no relief for my death cold, I happened upon your little chart on the box asking "Which humidifier is for you?". I had purchased the only one that didn't have a check mark by "helps soothe cold/flu symptoms - coughing, congestion and sore throats". Why would you make such a product? Who needs "invisible cool mist" and "technology that evaporates"? I vote, dumbest product ever. In fact, its so dumb - I can't even find it on your website.....(a website with the slogan "Ease Cold Symptoms With Clean, Moist Air." Bah!)

PS - Yes I realize there's probably a niche this humidifier fills and a handy little chart on each box to help you decide on your purchase. But when you're 8 months pregnant, you're on day 22 of the death cold, your child is screaming in the cart, and you're staring at a wall of Vicks Humidifiers that all look the same, you have to think, I'm in the seventh circle of hell. Just pick one and move on with your life.

addictions.

As of late there are 2 things I can't live without.

• Sudoku: I've avoided the purchase of any books or iPhone Apps relating to this game for fear it would be as addicting as Dr. Mario. I was right. I almost cried when I couldn't find my book last night.
  

• Talking Rain: Its just carbonated water (like Pellegrino or Perrier). Talking Rain comes in a huge pack at Costco and it includes a few different flavors - I'm on my 3rd pack in 2 weeks. Bonus? No heartburn. I can guzzle all I want with no heartburn, no sugar, no caffeine or artificial sweeteners (not that I'm against the last 2, I'm just trying to keep them to a minimum) and ALL THE FIZZ. So far I have yet to meet one person who likes it. More for me suckers!
  

busy week - here's some stuff.

My family has been in town since last Friday. Here's what we've been up to.....

• Sis. in law Krisitn threw me an amazing shower (little sis Kat, and mother in law Kathy helped). It was just what I wanted. A few close friends and amazing food. Thanks again ladies - a good time was had by all.
• SUZ - sent me mini eggs. I'd like to say they lasted until now, but they were gone in about a week. Suz - if someone ever put a gun to my head and forced me in to polygamy, I'd definitely pick you as one of the other wives. Just sayin......

• I decked the family out in Easter clothes a week early. Us Mormons have General Conference twice a year, and this year it happens to fall on Easter Sunday. There's no way I'm skipping out on a cute little boy in a bow tie.

• Here's a sneak peak of Princess Awesome's nursery (well the paint, anyways).
